Janu basti is the panchakarma procedure in which oil is retained at knee joint with the help of special instrument.
Procedure
Patient is adviced to sit on the table. Janu basti instrument is fixed over knee joint. Spicified oil is
then taken in warm condition and poured in the janu basti instrument. When oil cools down it is replaced
with warm oil to maintain the uniform tempreture of oil throughout the procedure. This process is continued for 30-45 minutes.
Indication
Knee joint pain, Ligamental injury, Decreased joint space etc.
